LATEX COMFORT LAYER
The latex comfort layer is made using 2” inches of organic Dunlop latex foam. Unlike some of its competitors, the Avocado Eco Organic uses a single seamless layer of latex foam that has quite a firm feel and a reassuring bounce.
The latex foam is eco-friendly, so if you’re looking for a mattress that will reduce your carbon footprint this could be the one for you. The latex used is 100% GOLS certified and is made using at least 95% certified organic latex – the highest possible standard.
SPRING SUPPORT LAYER
Beneath the latex foam comfort layer lies a pocketed coil spring base. The springs are made using recycled steel and each one is individually wrapped to minimize motion transfer and maximize longevity.
Avocado has strategically positioned stronger coils along the perimeter of the mattress to maximize edge support and lower gauge in the central area for gentler support. The springs are manufactured in Avocado’s own Los Angeles based facility.
COVER
All of this is encased in an all-natural, organic cotton mattress cover. Organic cotton is a naturally breathable material and allows heat to escape from the surface of the mattress. The cotton is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton.

The mattress is made using a range of certified all-natural and organic materials. The Dunlop latex is is 100% GOLS certified and sourced from facilities in facilities in India and Guatemala.
The organic wool is GOTS certified and comes from responsibly managed farms in the Himalayas. Avocado uses GOTS certified organic cotton to make the mattress cover. And, the steel springs are manufactured using double-tempered recycled steel in the company’s factory in Los Angeles.
EDGE SUPPORT
This mattress has excellent edge support. Avocado has positioned springs of a higher gauge along the edges of the mattress to provide additional support along the perimeter. This means sagging along the mattress edges is minimized.
